Day 1: How to get started with your new Cadense Shoes hosted by Dr. Gretchen Hawley

Welcome to the Cadense community! We’re thrilled to support your walking journey. To help you get started, we’ve created a mini-video series. In this first video, Dr. Gretchen Hawley offers a step-by-step guide to using your new Cadense Adaptive Shoes.

Our variable friction technology is unique and requires some extra caution in certain situations:

  • Always transfer your weight to the shoes before standing, stepping down, changing surfaces, using stairs, or entering/exiting a vehicle to prevent slipping. Use a Cadense Transition Mat in challenging areas.
  • For driving, test your shoes with the car off to ensure safe throttle and brake control. Do not drive with an AFO on your driving foot.
